Getting the future right: artificial Intelligence and the protection of fundamental rights
Artificial Intelligence and the Protection of Fundamental Rights is the title of the second webinar planned by the University of Insubria, which will take place on March 18 from h 16 to 18.
The meeting will focus on the new challenges of AI regarding the Report “Getting the future right - Artificial intelligence and fundamental rights", released by the European Union Agency for the Fundamental Rights in 2020.
The Report discusses the potential implications for fundamental rights and shows whether and how those using AI are taking rights into account, which are also the main topics dealt by Oreste Pollicino (Full Professor of Constitutional Law and Media Law at Bocconi University and Member of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights) in his article.
«We speak of artificial intelligence (AI) when machines do the kind of things that only people used to be able to do. Today, AI is more present in our lives than we realize – and its use keeps growing. The possibilities seem endless. But how can we fully uphold fundamental rights standards when using AI?», from "Getting the future right - Artificial intelligence and fundamental rights”.
