Economia circolare: un evento internazionale del Dista sulla gestione dei rifiuti solidi urbani
An international event on recycling and energy recovery of solid waste, organized by Prof. Vincenzo Torretta & Eng. Navarro Ferronato, Ph.D., University of Insubria – Department of Theoretical and Applied Sciences.
The conference RECYCLING AND RECOVERY OF SOLID WASTE: STATE OF THE ART AND DEVELOPMENTS FOR FOSTERING THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY aims to address the problem of solid waste management through the promotion of sustainable practices and appropriate technologies for the reduction of environmental impacts and for the recovery of resources in high-income and developing countries.
The topics discussed within the sessions will mainly focus on recycling and energy recovery of solid waste, addressing present and future issues for the optimization of the integrated cycle and waste management from a circular economy perspective also within the international cooperative framework.
Particular attention will be paid to future prospects for the enhancement of waste as well as to the role of the circular economy as a principle for the implementation of technologies and policies that guide sustainable development, strengthening the link between applied research and industry.

Un evento internazionale sulla gestione dei rifiuti solidi urbani, nell'ottica della sostenibilità ambientale, applicando i principi su cui si basa l'economia circolare. Il 25 febbraio, dalle ore 15.10, l’appuntamento è online con il convegno RECYCLING AND RECOVERY OF SOLID WASTE: STATE OF THE ART AND DEVELOPMENTS FOR FOSTERING THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY, organizzato dal Prof. Vincenzo Torretta e dal Ing. Navarro Ferronato, Ph.D, dell’Università dell’Insubria, Dipartimento di Scienze Teoriche e Applicate.
Il convegno vede la partecipazione di numerosi enti e Università attive sul tema dell’economia circolare e sarà l’occasione di un confronto aperto sulle sfide future e gli sviluppi che riguardano la realtà nazionale, evidenziando analogie e differenze rispetto a quanto in corso, anche con il contributo dell'Università degli Studi dell'Insubria, in alcuni Paesi in via di sviluppo dell'America Latina.
